Historical block of flats development with its impact on market prices of flats on the present in Liberec

This thesis on historical development of the construction of residential buildings and its effect on market prices of dwellings currently in Liberec accompanies the issue of correlation between architectural styles and price currently. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on explaining concepts such as housing, housing stock, housing market and its failure, which follows the historical description of the construction of residential buildings. In other chapters of this part is talking about urban planning and housing policy. The practical part looks at this issue from the perspective of a particular town, which is Liberec. For him the basic information about the local conditions, history of architecture and subsequently through the commodities market tested real estate prices mentioned correlation and era of construction. The main source of research is in the thesis comparing average prices per m2 for each building type. During and at the end, the results are commented and compared.

Evaluation of the impact of the selected investment project on the development of the area

This thesis deals with problematics of insufficiency of parking spots in the area of the city of Prague and related Terminal Zlicin investment plan. In the theoretical part there are described basic concepts, investment process stages and public investment evaluation methods. Furthermore, the topics of regional development and regional policy are covered. In the practical part there are several analyses of current status and the impact of Terminal Zlicin project on the area development processes.

Use of subsidy funds for city development

This master's thesis addresses the utilization of subsidy funds for urban development. Within the analysis, the economic management of the town of Kuřim from 2018 to 2022 was examined. The theoretical framework of the study focuses on the examination of income sources, their distribution, and amounts, with a key emphasis on analyzing the impact of subsidy funds on the overall economic context of the town. The concluding section of the thesis evaluates a specific project: the establishment of a transportation terminal in the town of Kuřim, which was implemented using subsidy funds provided by the European Union. The Cost-Benefit Analysis method is employed for the financial and economic analysis of the project, that includes the valuation of socio-economic impacts and the calculation of key criteria such as NPV, IRR, IR, and return on investment. The results of the financial analysis clearly indicate that the project would be almost unfeasible without subsidy utilization over its lifespan. However, even after incorporating the subsidy, the project remains unprofitable. Therefore, an economic analysis, relevant for a project of public nature, was also conducted. Consideration of economic factors demonstrates the overall benefit and contribution of the project to the town of Kuřim in the context of its long-term sustainability and development.

Aktivity a participace spolků na rozvoji území Znojemska

Spoustová, N. Activities and participation of associations in the development of the territory of Znojmo region. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2022. The thesis deals with the role of selected associations in the development of the Znojmo region. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms and theoretical anchoring dealing with participation in the development of the territory, which are specifically focused on endogenous development of the territory. These include regional development issues, regional policy, a description of development strategies and programmes, and the tools used to develop the territory. Furthermore, this part contains the possibilities of participation of the residents in the development of the territory, the most important of which is the participation of the residents in the form of the formation of associations. The practical part consists of an introduction of the area of interest of the Znojmo region and a literature review capturing the activities of associations in the development of the area. Based on the conducted interviews, cooperation with the center of the region (the city of Znojmo) and the role of selected associations in the development of the Znojmo region were subsequently evaluated.

The Development of the Brno Zoo

The diploma thesis is composed of two parts dealing with the development of the Brno Zoo. The first part consists of an analysis of selected elements in the public space of the Brno Zoo, which together shape the public space and thus significantly influence its perception, especially among zoo visitors. The second part of the diploma thesis deals with the development of a specific area in the form of an urban-architectural study in the Brno Zoo area, where an effort is made to apply the findings from the preceding analysis.

The Bachelor thesis called development of township Drásov - identification of development needs and problems, solution proposals. The work deals with the state of the township and based on socio-economic analysis and in-depth interviews identifies problematic areas. Based on the research, certain needs and problems were identified. It is the capacity of the primary and nursery school. Furthermore, in the area of the environment, research has shown a low focus on water areas in the township. Lastly, it was found necessary to resolve the condition of local roads and reduce the growth of buildings. The problem of insufficient capacity of nursery and primary school could be solved by termination of the school district contract. Insufficient attention to water bodies in nature can be addressed through the involvement of the environment commission and the use of subsidy projects supporting similar issues. A higher amount of financial will need to be allocated for repairs on local roads. Restriction of development can be solved by strict adherence to the zoning plan, where there will be no space for expanding the built-up area.
